Sales Associate – Specialty Cheese Shop

We are a long-established specialty cheese shop offering a large selection of cheeses and gourmet food products from Canada and around the world. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, customer-service-oriented Sales Associate to join our team.

What you’ll do

Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, knowledgeable service

Help customers choose cheeses and gourmet products based on their tastes and needs

Learn our extensive selection of cheeses, products, locations and pricing

Offer samples and confidently explain products to customers

Operate the cash register and process customer purchases accurately

Keep the store clean, organized and well stocked

Receive, rotate and put away products

Prepare and package cheese and other products for customers

Assist with party trays, gift orders and special requests

Maintain a welcoming and professional store workplace

Follow food-handling and store procedures

What we’re looking for

Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset

Friendly, outgoing and comfortable speaking with customers

Reliable and punctual — dependable attendance is essential

Willingness to learn about cheese,



food products and our store.

Able to work independently and stay productive during slower periods

Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Solid attention to detail and valuable organizational skills

Must be comfortable working with customers and communicating in English The right person for our team is someone who:

No extensive cheese knowledge is required — we are happy to teach you! What matters most is having a positive attitude, being willing to learn and providing excellent service to every customer.
