We are looking to hire a full time REGISTERED Veterinary Technician to join our team at Speedvale Pet Hospital!

Previous veterinary experience is highly preferred. We are happy to provide support and guidance to current veterinary technician graduates. We are focused on offering the highest level of care and medical support to our community. We look forward to hearing from all new applicants.

Key responsibilities include:
Performing surgical monitoring during procedures, cleaning and sterilization of surgical tools and equipment, surgery packs.
Assisting veterinarians and technicians during examinations/surgeries
Communicating with clients before and after appointments regarding their visits
Maintaining a calm and focused attitude during all situations, including high stress, emergency and surgery situations
Handling incoming phone calls, helping clients to book appointments and to place food orders




Restraining animals during medical procedures
Caring for hospitalized patients during the day
Confident and comfortable with blood draws, intubation, performing dental cleanings, X-rays.
General cleaning duties

Schedule:
Up to 8 hour shifts
Monday to Friday

Experience:
Registered Veterinary Technician: 6 month minimum (required)
Experience with Avi Mark a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
