In this full time role, you will directly support the Central Heating Plant, working under the supervision of the Shift Operator 2. As a vital member of the Capital Planning & Operations team, your responsibilities include maintaining boiler operations, ensuring safety protocols, and adapting to recent technologies. Your impact helps facilitate heating for UNB and its connected facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate high-pressure steam heating plant safely
• Order and receive wood for biomass operations
• Maintain clear access to receiving hoppers
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
• Monitor fuel levels and report findings
Requirements:
• Valid 3rd class Power Engineer License
• Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out procedures
• Experience in heating plant operations preferred
• Robust problem-solving skills under pressure
• Capability to adapt to new technologies
