Overview

4 Way Metal Fabricators is seeking an experienced Intermediate Mechanical / General Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on position involving the assembly of custom industrial equipment and mechanical systems.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial equipment manufacturing, mechanical assembly, metal fabrication, or a similar industry. The ability to read and interpret shop drawings and general arrangement/layout drawings is essential.

Key Responsibilities
Assemble custom industrial equipment and mechanical systems.
Assemble bolt-together piping, threaded pipe fuel trains and water systems.
Assemble burner chambers and industrial washers.
Assemble and install HVAC ducting and sheet metal components.
Install motors, fans, pulleys and other mechanical components.
Perform MIG welding, tack welding and basic fabrication as required.
Read and follow shop drawings, BOMs and general arrangement drawings.
Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, measuring and component installation.
Use hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
Identify and resolve basic assembly and fabrication issues.




Work closely with engineering and production teams to complete projects accurately and on schedule.

Qualifications
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in industrial manufacturing, mechanical assembly, fabrication, or a similar industry.
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on assembly experience.
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and general arrangement/layout drawings.
Experience with industrial equipment assembly.
Experience with piping, fittings, valves and mechanical systems.
Welding experience, preferably MIG.
Experience with sheet metal, HVAC ducting or fabricated components is an asset.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
