Junior AI Researcher / Machine Learning Engineer
We are looking for an AI Researcher / Machine Learning Engineer to join our team and help develop and improve machine learning models used in real-world applications.
The role is focused mainly on AI research, computer vision, model training, experimentation, and working with data. We are looking for someone who is comfortable testing new ideas, reading academic papers, and turning research into practical experiments.
Responsibilities
Train, test, and improve machine learning models
Work with computer vision and real-world datasets
Research current methods, models, and techniques
Read and evaluate academic papers
Design and run experiments
Analyze model performance and identify areas for improvement
Work closely with the engineering and research teams
Help move successful experiments toward production
What We’re Looking For
Robust Python skills
Experience with machine learning and deep learning
Experience with computer vision
Experience training and evaluating AI models
Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks
Positive understanding of model validation, overfitting, and performance metrics
Comfortable reading technical and academic papers
Strong problem-solving and research skills
Experience with time-series data, signal processing, mobile development, iOS, Android, or deploying machine learning models is a plus. If you enjoy experimenting with models, digging into research papers, and figuring out why something works or does not work, we would like to hear from you.
Pay: From $49,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Vancouver, BC
