Position Overview

We are seeking an Intermediate Civil/Structural/Architectural Designer with robust experience in commercial building design and concrete foundation design to join our Civil/Structural/Architectural Design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for structural and concrete design for commercial and industrial buildings for a variety of commercial and industrial projects.

Duties And Responsibilities
Coordinate with other disciplines to develop designs and complete civil/structural drawing packages for commercial and industrial buildings.
Design structural steel framing systems, including beams, columns, bracing, connections, and supporting structures.
Design concrete foundations for buildings, pipe racks, and equipment.
Use detailed sketches or redlines to design 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
Develop 3D models, pile layouts, structural detail drawings, etc.
Check drawings to ensure they are complete and compliant with standards and specifications.
Make revisions and improvements to designs/drawings in accordance with changing project demands.
Produce pile layout,



structural plans and sections, civil/structural bills of materials, etc.

Requirements
A Civil Engineering Technologist diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial building structural design. EPCM experience is preferred.
Experience with industrial structures, equipment supports, pipe racks, or foundations.
Extensive experience with Revit, AutoCAD & CADWorx Steel, and Tekla, or other structural modelling/detailing software.
Experience producing pile layout, structural plans and sections, civil/structural bills of materials, etc.
Robust verbal and written communication skills.
Personable and able to work with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Ability to adjust to change and multitask in a fast-paced setting.
