Our client, Purolator, is seeking a Linehaul Driver to join their team. The ideal candidate will hold a Class 1 driver's license for a minimum of 3 years with a clear driving history.

Job Title: Linehaul Driver
Location: Nanaimo, BC
Shift: Monday to Friday: 12:00am to 7:30am (35hrs/wk)
Pay Rate: $37.88/hour

What’s the Job?

Drive to/from customer locations.

Safely operate company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.).

Pick up and deliver freight to/from warehouse or package depot and/or customer locations and meet service level agreements.

Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch.

Pick up, deliver, and load/unload freight at customer locations.

Scan freight upon pickup and delivery.

Conduct vehicle inspections (tractor - 20-minute pre-trip,



15-minute post-trip; trailer – 15-minute pre-trip per trailer).

What’s Needed?

Valid Class 1 driver's license for at least 3 years.

No more than four (4) demerit points on Driver's Abstract.

Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.

Must successfully pass Defensive Driving and Courier Methods training.

Ability to problem-solve and collaborate with Dispatch and customers.

Strong organizational and time management skills.
