The Opportunity

This 12-month contract opportunity provides leave coverage within Dentalcorp’s Payroll team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Payroll, the Senior Payroll Analyst will support accurate, timely, and compliant Canadian payroll delivery. As a senior technical resource in Payroll Operations, you will support complex multi-provincial payroll activities, governance, process improvements, system enhancements, and key initiatives in partnership with HR, Finance, Tax, Treasury, HRIS, and external partners.

Who You Are

You are an experienced payroll professional with strong technical expertise in Canadian payroll legislation, Workday Payroll, payroll operations, and process improvement. You are a trusted payroll resource who builds strong partnerships across Payroll, HR, Finance, Tax, Treasury, and HRIS, while mentoring others and improving processes to support accurate, compliant payroll delivery.

You communicate clearly in English and French, bring strong analytical and organizational skills, and are committed to high standards of accuracy and service.

In This Role, You Will

- Lead complex Canadian multi-provincial payroll activities, including processing, balancing, validation, reconciliations, statutory remittances, and year-end reporting.
- Investigate and resolve complex payroll issues, retroactive calculations, corrections, variances, escalations, and employee inquiries.
- Serve as a Workday Payroll subject matter expert, supporting configuration, testing, user acceptance testing, system enhancements, and payroll-related changes.
- Improve payroll processes, documentation, internal controls, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with HR, Finance, Treasury, Tax, HRIS, external vendors,



and auditors to resolve payroll matters and support audit requirements.
- Mentor Payroll Analysts by providing technical guidance, sharing best practices, and supporting complex payroll scenarios.
- Prepare payroll reports and insights, and support acquisitions, integrations, system implementations, and special payroll projects as needed.

What You’ll Bring

- 5+ years of progressive Canadian payroll experience supporting large, multi-provincial payrolls, with advanced knowledge of legislation, remittances, reconciliations, and year-end reporting is required.
- PCP designation required; PLP designation considered an asset.
- Required Workday Payroll experience, including testing, system enhancements, payroll-related changes, implementations, process improvements, or projects.
- Robust analytical, reconciliation, problem-solving, Excel, and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet critical deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain complex payroll concepts clearly.
- Professional proficiency in spoken and written English and French is required to support employees and business partners across Canada.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 CAD to $95,000 CAD annually (plus a competitive total rewards and perks package). Offers within this range are determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as internal equity considerations. This job posting is for an existing vacancy.

You will be based at our Toronto Support Centre, located at 181 Bay Street in the heart of Toronto’s financial district. This position will be on site from Monday to Thursday, with Fridays designated as work-from-home days.
