Position Description:
CGI is seeking a Senior Project Control Officer to support the project manager across key project management activities, including financial management, resource management, risk and issue management, reporting, scheduling, and project administration.
The role supports project delivery within defined scope, schedule, and budget, with a focus on financial management, communication, and resource management.
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 2 days per week subject to change at any time.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Provide project management support and administration services.
- Assist in developing and maintaining project or program plans and schedules, while monitoring timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Support change management processes and changes to project scope, timelines, and resources.
- Monitor project documentation, including project charters, plans, risk and change logs, status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Support project financial accounting, financial tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and related financial management activities.
- Assist in coordinating resource allocation, including CGI partners, equipment, and materials, to meet engagement requirements.
- Gather and analyze data for regular and ad hoc reporting to project or program teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Identify and track project risks and issues, including mitigation actions and issue resolution processes.
- Schedule and participate in project or program meetings, prepare meeting minutes, capture action items, and distribute communications.
- Coordinate quality reviews and audits, support training related to project management tools and methodologies, and identify improvement opportunities within the project management office, project, or program.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- 5+ years of experience in a Project Control Officer (PCO) role or similar position.
- Experience with financial accounting and financial management.
- Experience with resource management and communications management.
- Experience with project schedule planning.
- Experience with risk, issue, and change management.
- Experience with project and management reporting.
- Experience with quality management and document management.
- Familiarity with predictive, traditional, adaptive Agile, and hybrid delivery approaches.
- Ability to contribute effectively with minimal training.
Assets The following certifications or qualifications are examples. Equivalent credentials in related technologies or relevant experience may also be considered sufficient:
- P3O Foundation or Practitioner.
- PRINCE2.
- IPMA PMO, including IPMA Level D or Level C.
- CAPM.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55,000–$105,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
