With 2 to 3 years of experience, you'll operate equipment in hydro, thermal, and nuclear plants. Your responsibilities will include monitoring systems, performing maintenance, and training apprentices. This is a crucial role that aids in environmental conservation and sustainability efforts in accordance with Canada’s goals.
Key Responsibilities: • Complete and manage operational logs and reports • Operate and monitor various plant equipment • Develop and implement safety procedures • Investigate malfunctions and make necessary repairs • Coordinate transmission loads and water levels
Requirements: • Certification as a Stationary Engineer 'B' mandatory • WHMIS and Forklift Operator certifications required • 2-3 years of practical experience needed • Understanding of high and low pressure boilers • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
