Position Summary
Total Oilfield Rentals is currently looking for a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician, will be responsible for developing and expanding Total Oilfield Rental’s (TOR) business.
This position is fulltime and is based out of our Blackfalds location.
Time Commitment
8AM to 5PM, Monday to Friday. 5 days on, 2 days off. You may be required from time to time to work outside these hours as the need arises. Schedule may be altered at the discretion of management.
Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following):
Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspections;
Responsible for using proper tools and techniques to complete the job safely;
Maintain shop tools and work area;
Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician Alberta Apprenticeship Board Certification is a must
Heavy Truck & trailer experience
CVIP license
Experience with Cat, John Deere, Komatsu and Hyundai Wheel Loaders
Experience with 6.7 Litre Cummins Engines, Light Towers, Generators
Experience working in Mining Operations
A friendly, outgoing personality and ability to work with individuals, groups and other organizations to fit in with our excellent working atmosphere
Working Conditions
Mainly Shop in Blackfalds location.
Versatile and willing to be on call some weekends
Willing to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions with heavy equipment.
