Position Overview The Skilled Labourer will support excavation crews with day‑to‑day site tasks including trenching, pipe installation, grading, equipment spotting, and general labour. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced construction environment and takes pride in doing the job right.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with excavation, trenching, sewer and water installation
- Spot heavy equipment safely
- Shovel, rake, and perform general site cleanup
- Install pipes, fittings, and bedding materials
- Set up and maintain trench boxes, shoring, and safety systems
- Follow all OHSA and company safety procedures
- Operate small tools and equipment (plate tamper, cutoff saw, pumps, etc.)
- Support foreman and operators with daily tasks
- Maintain a clean, organized work area

Qualifications

- Minimum 1–2 years experience in construction or excavation




- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs
- Strong awareness of safety practices
- Experience with sewer/water installation is an asset
- Valid G driver’s license required
- Ability to work well in a team and take direction
- Reliable transportation to job sites

Schedule

- Monday to Friday
- Occasional Saturdays depending on project needs
- 10‑hour shifts typical during peak season
