Become a part of the IWK Health team in Halifax as a Medical Laboratory Technologist II focused on Microbiology. This role centers on bacterial culture interpretation and QA in a state-of-the-art lab setting.

As a full time position in the Microbiology Lab, you'll engage in hands-on specimen processing and operation of advanced lab technologies. Your focus on quality management will ensure compliance with health standards while you work in a diverse and inclusive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
Process a variety of microbiological specimens
Read and report on bacterial cultures accurately
Manage laboratory instrumentation operations and troubleshooting
Oversee quality management processes and audits
Provide technical guidance to colleagues in the lab

Requirements:
Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or BMLS
Minimum of five years of relevant experience
Recent microbial culture reporting experience required
CSMLS certification or eligibility
Proven organizational and teamwork capabilities
