Join the University of Toronto Mississauga team as a Special Projects Officer focused on Indigenous education. This role prioritizes awareness of Indigenous knowledges and cooperative community development. Reporting to the Director of RGASC, you will manage and lead impactful projects that elevate Indigenous curriculum and pedagogies.
Your work will involve conducting research, designing workshops, and liaising with various campus and community groups to advance educational initiatives aligned with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's recommendations. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects
- Conduct research on Indigenous educational topics
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions
- Collaborate with Indigenous community organizations
- Assist in the implementation of curriculum improvements Requirements:
- Relevant university degree required; advanced degree preferred
- At least six years in project management roles
- Four years’ experience in Indigenous community settings
- Deep understanding of Indigenous curriculum issues
- Strong communication and leadership skills Drive meaningful change in Indigenous educational practices at U of T Mississauga.
