Join the City of Markham as a licensed Fleet Technician, ensuring municipal vehicles are operational and compliant. Work Monday to Friday, focusing on inspections and complex repairs.

In this crucial role within the Operations Department, you’ll report directly to the Supervisor of Fleet & Supplies. The ideal candidate will have solid skills in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems, enhanced by a valid Automotive Technician Certificate (310 S) and Truck and Coach Certificate (310 T).

You will also maintain compliance with safety codes while helping the City deliver top-notch services to over 370,000 residents.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct mandatory inspections for municipal vehicles
Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues




Perform repairs on automotive and heavy equipment
Work overtime and standby as needed
Ensure vehicles meet internal operational standards

Requirements:
7 years of related experience
Valid DZ Driver’s License (or ability to obtain)
Certified Automotive Technician (310 S and 310 T)
Skilled in diagnostics and shop equipment operation
Must supply own tools and pass driver’s abstract check
