Key Accountabilities: Direct support to Projects, or Programs. May function as direct team leader of a defined project controls area. Collaborates with project management and teams on matters relating to project controls, other stakeholders to resolve issues. Works on projects that are medium in risk and complexity. Lead end to end Estimating processes on project initiatives greater than $100MM. Monitors EPC schedules. Makes recommendations regarding schedule recovery and the resources required to achieve recovery. Consolidate and coordinate with the project team members to establish and maintain consistent information. Coordinate the interactive planning process. Understand fundamentals of schedule risk. Assist in audits of engineering and construction progress. Ensures project setup is in a proper format to support project closeout and benchmarking. Ensures effective uses of Project Cost Management Systems. Technical expertise in the development and ongoing continuous improvement of the Cost Management systems. Leads the development of the overall project cost analysis activities from a lead position. Facilitates the conversion of the estimate into a Control Budget. Understands construction execution and schedules site visits to review cost & schedules reporting. Responsible for the preparation, quality and accuracy of the project reports.



Identifies future deviations costs and make an assessment regarding its impact on the project.

Develops Gate

Review and AFE appropriation documentation and manage data on an ongoing basis. Supports the development of business cases and provide economic analysis.

Analyze Foreign

Exchange impacts to the project. Leads and prepares cost estimates for change orders, trends, and extra work orders. Ensures project setup is in a proper format to support project closeout and benchmarking. Assist in audits of engineering and construction progress.

Initiates Project Management of Change: o for non scope changes based on Quantity Tracking if variance is out of the range from previous estimate. o when identifying changes in execution. o if there is a change in scope, execution, or schedule while attending regular project meetings and meetings with contractors. Challenges change proposals from Contractors. Participates in Technical & Commercial bid analysis of packages and construction contracts. Proficient in synthesizing Benchmarking Analytics Make recommendations to the project teams based on multi-step complex calculations. Understands and recommends what types of benchmarking need to be done at the various ADEM (Asset Development and Execution Model) phases of a project. Accountable to inform project decision making. Influencing contractor systems/processes (i.e. to optimize workflow, minimize overlap). Exercises independent judgment in planning,



organizing & completing assignments along with reviewing and evaluating recommendations and actions proposed by other personnel. Decisions may be reviewed for overall impact but are usually accepted. Exercises independent judgment consistent with corporate and/or business unit goals. Makes recommendations regarding the selection of project controls analysis staff. Conducts appraisals of more junior project controls staff when required.

Minimum Requirements: Undergraduate degree (or equivalent). 7+ years of Project Controls (or equivalent) related experience. AACEI (Assn. for the Advancement of Cost Engineering) Certified Cost Professional (recommended). Covers positions at the senior level within the project control function with specialized working knowledge. Specialized skills & knowledge are applied to complex studies & problems. Provide value-added solutions with stakeholders, including external vendor relationships. Demonstrates coaching and influencing skills. All PC requirements conform to PC terminology. Focus on adapting processes/systems to fit different project types, complexity. Taking reports, analyzing data and translating to forecasting project performance. Ensure that the project PC folks understand and are complying to PC processes (teach, guide as required). Measure/track project performance against metrics and benchmarks. Develop plans/themes to drive continuous improvement. Participation in cold eyes reviews to support internal projects.Think we are a fit? Apply now!
