Responsibilities and Duties
Thoroughly review the plans, specifications, and blueprints to understand the product requirements
Prepare documentation of the inspection activities, which includes detailed inspection specifications and instructions
Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of incoming parts and subassemblies according to documented specifications and requirements using standard physical, mechanical, and electrical measurements
Verify that the in-process subassemblies and finished products conform to documented inspection documentation
Document inspection results and collect and analyze inspection data as required
Report all the non-conforming components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies to the concerned department at the earliest
Collect and analyze supplier performance data
Maintain calibration of quality control equipment
Education
Post-secondary diploma
Real-time experience in the manufacturing environment is preferred
Skills
Experience with standard metrology equipment (calipers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, etc.)
Direct knowledge of quality control standards
Knowledge of Quality Systems, ISO 13485, and applicable worldwide regulatory requirements is an asset
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment.
Good math knowledge in measuring and calculating dimensions.
Strong plan and organizational skills,
as well as great attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Valuable knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to lift 50lbs
Salary Range
CAD$20.00 - $25.00 hourly
