Reporting to the Director, this position combines strategic fundraising leadership with hands‑on portfolio management and people leadership.The successful candidate will oversee a robust major gifts and foundations program, directly manage high‑value donor relationships, and mentor a growing fundraising team. Acting as a key connector between programs and philanthropy, this role ensures donor engagement is grounded in authentic, compelling stories of impact.This is an exceptional prospect for a seasoned fundraiser who is motivated by purpose‑driven work and eager to influence systemic change related to food insecurity in Toronto.Key ResponsibilitiesDonations & Foundations Portfolio ManagementManage a portfolio of up to 75 major gift prospects and donors, securing contributions of $5,000+ through thoughtful cultivation, solicitation, and stewardshipExpand and strengthen the major gifts and foundations pipeline through strategic prospecting and qualificationBuild strong progression pathways between mid‑level and major giving portfoliosCollaborate closely with program staff to develop tailored proposals, reports, and donor‑specific impact narrativesStrategic Fundraising LeadershipPartner with the Director to refine and execute an integrated fundraising strategy aligned with organizational prioritiesIdentify opportunities to diversify revenue streams and deepen donor engagementEstablish and uphold best practices, policies, and procedures that ensure ethical and effective fundraisingChampion awareness of food insecurity, equity, and social justice among donors, partners,
