Become a Planning Assistant at the Squamish Nation's Strategic Priorities Office, where you'll manage project logistics vital to community development and engagement.
This position focuses on the planning and delivery of significant projects that reflect the Squamish Nation’s long-term goals. As a Planning Assistant, you will support the Executive Lead by coordinating meetings, tracking project progress, and overseeing engagement with community partners and stakeholders. Your contributions are essential in fostering strategic initiatives that enhance the sustainability of the Nation’s lands and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in administrative tasks for project leadership • Collaborate with architects and consultants on project phases • Maintain databases and project dashboards • Lead components of smaller projects with management support • Prepare reports and briefing materials for various audiences
Requirements: • Diploma in Project Management or similar field • 2-3 years of related experience in planning • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software • Excellent detail orientation and communication skills • Understanding of Squamish Nation culture preferred
