Currently seeking Substitute Arabic and Islamic Studies Teachers to join our team.

Responsibilities

- Assume the responsibilities of the Arabic or Islamic Studies Teacher when the regular teacher is absent
- Communicate, collaborate, and cooperate effectively with classroom teachers, colleagues, administration, and students
- Deliver prepared course content and provide academic support and student supervision throughout the school day
- Maintain appropriate classroom management and support a positive learning setting
- Maintain and respect the confidentiality of student, staff, and school information
- Follow and support all school policies, procedures, and expectations
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or Assistant Principal

Qualifications and Requirements





- Ability to adapt to a changing environment with a flexible, versatile, and positive approach to new assignments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with administration, students, staff, and parents
- Ability to effectively deliver pre-planned lessons and support the Alberta Education curriculum
- Strong classroom management skills
- Respect for and understanding of Islamic faith, values, and culture
