Taproot Community Support Services is seeking a Youth Worker for its New Leaf House in Vancouver. This full-time position focuses on nurturing the growth and development of youth in a secure, supportive environment.

As a Residential Child and Youth Worker, you will provide individualized care to children facing behavioral challenges. Your responsibilities include establishing personal service plans, teaching life skills, and ensuring emotional and physical support. Being part of an employee-owned organization means you will have a stake in making a difference and empowering those in your care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess children’s needs and track their progress
• Guide youth in socially appropriate behavior




• Implement safety protocols and provide crisis intervention
• Assist with hygiene and daily living activities
• Advocate for the needs of youth within the community

Requirements:
• Child and Youth Care Degree or related qualifications
• At least two years of relevant experience
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
• Current CPR/First Aid certifications
• Experience with trauma-informed practices
