Drive training excellence as the Deputy Fire Chief, Training in Parkland County. This permanent full-time position focuses on firefighter training and emergency response leadership, emphasizing safety.
Reporting to the Fire Chief, the Deputy Fire Chief, Training is responsible for the oversight of training programs for firefighters. This role requires an individual with strong leadership and communication skills, along with a commitment to fostering a respectful and safe workplace. You will ensure compliance with NFPA standards and lead a team dedicated to improving service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and develop firefighter training programs
• Participate in emergency response leadership as needed
• Mentor colleagues in safety and training practices
• Ensure compliance with NFPA training standards
• Support a respectful, collaborative workplace culture
Requirements:
• High School diploma with relevant education
• 5-7 years of fire training-related experience
• Class 3 driver’s license with Q endorsement
• Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector screening
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
