In this role at Prince Albert Grand Council, you will act as a bridge between Indigenous women and healthcare providers, facilitating culturally safe practices in maternal health. Your expertise in traditional birthing and communication will empower women to voice their birth preferences and ensure they receive well-rounded support. Engagement in community committees will also represent Indigenous needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide cultural liaison and support for women during childbirth
• Collaborate with healthcare staff on women's care plans




• Advocate for women's emotional and physical needs
• Document and maintain medical records accurately
• Engage in various maternal service initiatives and data collection

Requirements:
• Certification in Indigenous Birth Support or Doula Studies
• Understanding of medical and birth-related terminology
• Knowledge of traditional birthing practices
• Possession of a valid driver’s license
• Able to manage versatile work hours and travel
