Our client is a well-established not-for-profit organization with a strong community presence and a meaningful mission. They are seeking a Controller & Director, Corporate Services to join their Senior Leadership Team and serve as a key strategic advisor to the CEO. This is a broad leadership role that extends beyond traditional finance, with oversight across financial stewardship, corporate services, risk management, technology, facilities and organizational planning.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Controller & Director, Corporate Services will provide strategic and operational leadership across the organization's financial and corporate functions.

Manager two direct reports and lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial strategy

Oversee accounting, financial reporting, month-end/year-end close and annual audit

Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, Board and Finance Committee

Oversee enterprise risk management, insurance, compliance and internal controls

Provide strategic oversight of IT, data governance, procurement,



administrative systems and facilities

Support capital projects, organizational growth and long-term sustainability initiatives

Drive process improvements, technology initiatives and data-informed decision making

What We’re Looking For

7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience

A preference will be placed on those with NPO or charitable accounting experience

Robust experience across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit and internal controls

Experience supporting executive leadership, Boards and/or Finance Committees

Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate financial information into actionable recommendations

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Power BI and systems experience considered an asset
