Seaspan is hiring a Junior Estimator for shipbuilding cost assessment. Leverage your skills in a hands-on, fully on-site role at our North Vancouver facility.

In this Estimator I role, you'll engage with Program Management and Supply Chain to derive accurate labor and material estimates integral to project success. Your attention to detail and analytical prowess will support the development of cost databases and promote continuous improvements. This position provides an opportunity to grow within a respected shipyard.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed labor and material cost estimates
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for validation
• Conduct estimate-to-actual comparisons and lessons learned reviews




• Maintain estimating tools and cost models
• Assist in bids and proposals assessment

Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in relevant discipline
• Experience or internship in cost estimating preferred
• Solid mathematical and critical-thinking abilities
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
