Make a difference in the lives of youth with York Hills as a Child and Youth Worker in live-in treatment settings in Aurora, Ontario. Help families navigate mental health needs.
In this permanent full time position, you'll be key in creating a nurturing environment for children aged 0 to 18. You’ll report to the Manager of Live-in Treatment, ensuring safe, coordinated therapeutic care. The role emphasizes participation in clinical treatment planning and crisis interventions, all while advocating for positive client outcomes within a supportive team framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with assessments of new clients • Engage clients in therapeutic activities • Ensure hygiene and organization of living spaces • Report critical incidents and treatment progress • Attend team meetings regularly for case discussions
Requirements: • Post-secondary education in Child and Youth Care or related field • At least one year of experience in a similar role • Skills in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention • Excellent communication and detail orientation • A valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License and BRC
