Role Description The Licensed 310s Mechanic is a full-time, on-site role based at Mikey's Garage in St Thomas, ON. This role involves performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including inspection of mechanical and electrical systems, identifying issues, and completing necessary repairs in line with manufacturer and industry standards. The mechanic will carry out scheduled services and preventive maintenance, ensure accurate documentation of work performed, and communicate clearly with office staff and customers about recommended repairs and safety concerns. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting complex mechanical problems, working with heavy equipment and shop tools, maintaining a clean and safe work area,



and adhering to all health and safety regulations. The role also includes collaborating with other team members, supporting junior staff where needed, and participating in ongoing training to stay current with new technologies and repair methods.

Qualifications

- Strong maintenance skills, including general Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance for a variety of vehicles.
- Proficiency in Maintenance & Repair tasks, with the ability to complete inspections, diagnostics, and complex repairs independently.
- Experience working with Heavy Equipment and shop tools, including safe operation and adherence to safety standards.
- Solid Troubleshooting skills to identify mechanical and electrical issues efficiently and recommend effective solutions.
- Valid 310s Automotive Service Technician license in Ontario.
- Prior experience in an automotive repair shop.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and diagnostic reports.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Comfort with using digital tools for work orders, diagnostics, and documentation.
