Duties

- Deliver engaging instruction on textile technology concepts, sewing techniques, and tailoring methods to diverse learners of all skill levels
- Demonstrate proper use of sewing machines, cutting tools, and other textile manufacturing equipment
- Guide students through the entire garment creation process—from fabric selection and pattern drafting to stitching and finishing touches
- Assist in developing curriculum materials that highlight current industry standards and innovative practices in textiles and apparel production
- Maintain a well-organized workspace that adheres to safety standards in sewing studios or manufacturing settings
- Support the setup and operation of textile production or warehouse environments, ensuring efficient workflow




- Collaborate with team members to improve training programs and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a seamstress, tailor, or textile technician with strong knowledge of garment construction and fabric manipulation
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes or warehouse environments related to textiles or apparel is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to clearly demonstrate techniques and provide constructive feedback
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced settings
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in fabric handling, pattern making, and quality control
- Basic understanding of safety protocols related to textile machinery and warehouse operations
- Passion for teaching others and sharing expertise in textile arts
