Our clients include the top Engineering, Architectural, and Solar Energy companies all over the world. We are currently searching for a Wind Engineer/Climate Scientist to join our growing Weather and Climate Insights team.Primary Duties:Determine analytical scope and approaches for wind and climate aspects of engineering projectsIdentify representative climate data for project sites and engineering studies and evaluate and perform quality control checksWork with engineers and atmospheric Scientists to identify extreme weather events and classify into storm types in historical datasetsPerform basic and advanced statistical analyses, such as parent distribution and extreme value analysis on wind and snow dataInterpret wind loading provisions in building codesDetermine and recommend design wind speeds and other climatic design criteria to be used for design of buildings, structures and solar arraysAdvance analysis techniques, tooling,



and processes used by the Weather & Climate Insights teamWrite technical reports and communicate findings to engineers and clientsRequirements:Degree in Engineering or similar fieldsMinimum of 3 years of relevant work experience or a graduate degree in a related fieldKnowledge of extreme weather processes or atmospheric boundary layerProficiency in Python and/or MATLAB programming languages – candidates will be required to complete a skills assessment as part of the hiring processKnowledge of advanced statistical methodsExcellent verbal and written communication and presentation skillsExcellent problem‑solving skillsAbility to work in a fast‑paced environmentAny of the following is considered an asset:Knowledge of the Solar Renewable Energy industryKnowledge of building code provisions for wind and climate loadingFamiliarity with GIS and/or databases, SQLPay Range: $60,000 – $122,000 per yearWe offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.
