Job SummaryAssembles, wires, commissions, installs and services control panels and automated machinery in accordance with customer requirements and external (CSA, ESA, OSHA, etc.), company and department standards and policies.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRequired to work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company Health and Safety and Other PoliciesResponsible for mentoring (including feedback on skills and behavior), and providing guidance on safe work practices for electrical apprenticesAssemble and mount control panels and other electrical componentsWire control panels and automated machinery in accordance with customer requirements and external (CSA, ESA, OSHA, etc), company and department standards and policiesProvide in-house electrical troubleshooting and serviceKeep inventory control and usage of electrical componentsMaintain red line electrical drawings for changes made during wiring and debuggingAll above duties to be performed in a timely manner and in an ISO 2015 environmentPosition Requirements (Knowledge, Skill, Ability)Must have practical experience in wiring panels and automated machineryMust understand the Ontario Electrical CodeMust have the ability to read, analyze and interpret written and verbal communications in the English languageMust have the ability to read,
analyze and interpret electrical schematic drawingsMust have good electrical troubleshooting skillsMust be able to work with others in a rapid-paced environmentMust have a valid driver’s licenseAutonomy and AuthorityReceives instructions on specific assignmentsExpected to work independently to complete wiring of individual panels or machines according to electrical drawings and established standardsComplex circuits or requirements referred to higher authority for guidance and reviewMay give guidance to Apprentices with respect to the work being performedEducation, Experience, and QualificationsLicensed electrician as recognized by the Ontario Ministry of TrainingMust have a valid passport and driver’s license, as well as the ability to travel to customer sites both locally and internationallyMust be available to travel for periods of up to 3 weeksSpecial Requirements (physical demands and work environment)Must be physically able to wire panels and automated machinery from standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching and prone positions. Must be able to work in all types of manufacturing environments (oil, dust, etc.). May need to lift and/or move heavy weight.The expected compensation range for this position is $29.63 - $40.74 per hour. This range includes base pay and target variable pay. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We also consider internal equity to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. This range reflects the expected full compensation range for the role; most offers will fall within the range and not at the maximum in order to allow for future growth.#J-18808-Ljbffr
