As the Structures Manaer you will be at the forefront of driving success, managing a single project contract to ensure seamless execution from start to finish. With your expertise, you will oversee the budget, coordinate project personnel, and maintain a production schedule that guarantees timely delivery and exceptional quality. Collaborate with industry experts and committed teams to align project goals with owner expectations, adhering to contract specifications and upholding the highest standards.What you will be doingProvide overall leadership for bridges and structural work on the projectLead pre-construction and construction work related to structures work in collaboration with design team lead and client team lead for structuresChair regular working group meetings and coordinate matters related to budget, schedule, design progress, permitting, construction planning, subcontract procurement in the pre-construction phaseDemonstrate leadership in health and safety in the pre-construction, planning, and execution phaseEnsure the work related to structures is planned and executed in a manner consistent with contract requirements and client expectationsEstablish financial and schedule goals for the structures disciplineLead a culture of accountability in fulfilling commitmentsEstablish the process for tracking and reporting progress on various issues and aspects of the structure's work in the pre-construction and construction phases.Lead the development of construction plan,
sequence and stagingIdentify and plan temporary work requirementsIdentify and coordinate timing and scope interfaces with other disciplinesEnsure the implementation of the Safety Program to create a safe work environment throughout the job site and adhere to the safety and record-keeping requirementsEnsure adherence to project Quality and Environmental management requirementsManage subcontracts responsible for delivering the scope in the structures disciplineParticipate in meetings with clients, subcontracted engineering firms, suppliers, operators and project ownerPerform additional assignments as directed by the Construction Manager or as required for successful project completionTimely communication and resolution of issuesWhat we are looking forBachelors’ degree in Engineering or Construction ManagementPEng. license in the Province of Ontario will be considered an assetMinimum 15 years of experience, with demonstrated experience in Structural workExperience in heavy civil infrastructure projects is requiredExperience in large transit infrastructure projects is preferredExperience working in the rail corridorExperience in bridges and retaining walls construction projectsAdvanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings and other documentsProject management skillsDemonstrated ability to manage the financial performance of a discipline or departmentAbility to maintain functional working relationships subcontractorsProven leadership, communication and negotiation skillsWhy work for usSome of the benefits you may be eligible for as an employee are:Comprehensive compensation package and paid time off programIndustry leading 401(k)/RRSPMedical/Extended Health Care, Dental, Vision and/or Provincial MedicalWellness perks & Employee Assistance ProgramTuition Reimbursement ProgramWe are an EEO/ADA/Veterans employer.Salary MinCAD $175,000.00/Yr.Salary MaxCAD $200,000.00/Yr.#J-18808-Ljbffr
