The Mental Health Educator will be instrumental in developing evidence-based workshops and coordinating community outreach programs that promote mental well-being. You'll collaborate with various organizations to fulfill the vision of a suicide-safer environment in Windsor and Essex County. This temporary position is funded by Employment Ontario, designed to enhance resilience during challenging times.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research and develop trauma-informed workshops
• Facilitate internal and external mental health training
• Conduct grief education seminars and support groups
• Prepare participation resource materials
• Liaise with community agencies for outreach efforts
Requirements:
• Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Health Sciences
• Experience in a mental health-focused role
• Strong public speaking capabilities
• Advanced bilingual skills preferred
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License and insurance
