Contribute to Indigenous language efforts with the Office of the Commissioner of Indigenous Languages in Ottawa. The Knowledge Hub Coordinator position focuses on curating and promoting significant linguistic resources.
This hybrid/in-person role is vital in building a national inventory supporting the revitalization of Indigenous languages. You will engage with various stakeholders to ensure that communities access essential materials and tools for language preservation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Compile and organize Indigenous language resources and research
• Maintain accurate records and inventories of language programs
• Conduct environmental scans of language revitalization initiatives
• Disseminate resources via digital platforms and webinars
• Facilitate community engagement and collaboration
Requirements:
• Degree in Information Management, Indigenous Studies, or related discipline
• Experience with Indigenous communities is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in managing digital content systems
• Excellent interpersonal and engagement skills
