Nature & Scope - Your Role at Roots he Product Quality Coordinator supports the Product Quality team by conducting local product inspections, evaluating TOP samples, reviewing overseas inspection reports, and coordinating follow-up onidentifiedquality issues.Therole requires strong apparel product knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to assess product quality against approved specifications and standards. TheCoordinatoris responsible foridentifyingand documenting quality issues and escalating inspection failures and significant concerns to the Head of Dept for review and direction.This position is primarily focused on hands-on product quality execution and coordination.
Key Responsibilities - How You’ll Make an Impact TOP Samples Evaluation Evaluate TOP samples against approved samples, specifications, construction requirements, measurements, workmanship, labeling, and other applicable quality standards.
Identifydeviations between approved requirements and production samples.
Clearly document TOP comments and required corrections.
Communicate quality concerns to theappropriate internalteams and vendors.
Escalate significant TOP concerns to the Manager for review and direction.
Follow up with vendors/factories to ensure required corrections are addressed.
Wash test local TOP -Ensure overall appearance and Shrinkage is within tolerance
Local Product Inspections Conduct local inspections of finished products, samples, and other product asrequired.
Evaluate workmanship, construction, measurements, appearance, functionality, labeling, packaging, and overall product quality against approved requirements.
Identifyand document major and minor defects and quality concerns.




Take clear photographs and provideaccurateinspection comments whererequired.
Communicate inspection findings to the Manager and relevant internal teams.
Escalate inspection failures and significant quality concerns tothe Managerfor review and direction.
Overseas Inspection Report Review Review overseas factory and third-party inspection reports, including Inline, DUPRO, TOP, and Final Random Inspection (FRI) reports.
Verify that inspection reports are complete and that findings are clearly documented.
Review inspection results against established quality standards and acceptance criteria.
Identifyfailed inspections, significant defects, or concerns requiring further review.
Escalate inspection failures to the Manager and support follow-up with the relevant factory or vendor.
Maintain awareness of outstanding inspection issues and required follow-up.
Quality Issue Follow-Up Coordinate follow-up on quality issuesidentifiedthrough local inspections, TOP reviews, and overseas inspection reports.
Communicate required actions and outstanding issues to vendors, factories, and relevant internal stakeholders.
Monitor completion of agreed corrective actions and provide updates to the Product Quality Manager.
Escalate unresolved or repeated issues asappropriate.
Maintainaccuraterecords of quality issues and follow-up activities.
Quality Documentation & Systems Ensure inspection findings, TOP comments,



and quality-related information are accurately documented in the applicable systems.
Ensure quality information isaccurate,timely, and properlymaintained.
Updating seasonal fabric/ product Tech documents in consultation with QA Specialist
Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product Development, Technical Design, Sourcing, Merchandising, and other relevant internal teams.
Communicate quality requirements and findings clearly and professionally.
Participate in product quality meetings and discussions asrequired.
Support the Manager with quality-related projects and initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience - The Skills You Bring 2-4 years of experience in apparel quality control, quality assurance, technical, production, product development, ora relatedfield.
Hands-on experience with apparel inspections is strongly preferred.
Experience evaluating TOP samples and reviewing factory or third-party inspection reports.
Good understanding of apparel construction, workmanship, measurements, fabrics, trims, and finishing.
Ability toidentifyand assess common apparel quality defects.
Experience working with overseas factories and vendors is an asset.
Solid attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications.
Experience with quality management, inspection, PLM, or workflow systems is an asset.
