The Youth Counsellor position offers diverse responsibilities through three primary programs aimed at reducing youth criminal behavior. With a minimum of 2 years' experience, you will be instrumental in delivering structured group interventions and collaborating on community initiatives. This is a contract role that features a comprehensive support structure for youth aged 12-20.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement evidence-informed programming for at-risk youth
• Conduct group sessions focused on cognitive and behavioral skills
• Engage with community organizations to foster collaboration
• Provide individual support to youth in crisis
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and program effectiveness
Requirements:
• Degree in criminal justice or a related field
• At least 2 years' experience with vulnerable youth
• Strong communication skills in English; French is an asset
• Knowledge of youth and community service systems
• Updated clear Criminal Reference Check for vulnerable populations
