Position Scope:
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you are responsible for ensuring that all processed products meet strict quality standards and specifications. Operating both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, you will utilize your robust organizational, multitasking, and time management skills to monitor scales, metal detectors,
and coders hourly, ensuring proper coding for all products on shift. Your clear communication and interpersonal abilities will be essential as you perform pre-operational line inspections, certify quality standards, and provide constructive feedback to drive ongoing improvements—taking decisive action to make real-time changes when necessary. You will be expected to follow all safety policies and procedures closely, adapt to other duties as required, and safely handle various ingredients, including onions and wheat products.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Production environment.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
Qualifications:
- Grade Twelve Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate is a requirement
- Post-secondary education within a science specialty would be considered an asset
- Experience working within Quality or as a Grader would be considered an asset
