Make a meaningful impact by becoming a Grant Reproductive Research Technician with the Toronto Zoo. This position, available for approximately 6 months, combines dedicated wildlife research with community engagement efforts.
As a Grant Reproductive Research Technician, you'll assist in various research and service projects while helping to educate the public. Key activities involve conducting lab/field research, organizing biological samples, and participating in public outreach. Your role is essential in ensuring the zoo's strategic conservation goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the execution of research projects and data collection • Conduct comprehensive analysis and reporting of research data • Organize and manage biological samples for experimentation • Help develop educational content and materials for outreach • Perform daily maintenance of laboratory projects
Requirements: • Post-secondary education in a related field with relevant experience • Proven experience in a similar technician role for at least 1 year • Robust organizational and interpersonal communication skills • Understanding of research methodologies and laboratory functions • Class G driver's license is a plus
