Truro Cannabis, a member of IMP Group’s investment portfolio, is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in the role of Vice President Operations and Business Development.

As a federally licensed producer of medical and recreational cannabis products, Truro Cannabis is proud to call Truro, Nova Scotia home. Through the operation of our 45,000 sq ft cultivation facility, we are dedicated to producing outstanding quality cannabis products in a professional and highly controlled environment. Overview

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Vice President will provide enterprise-level leadership across Truro Cannabis, with accountability for strategic direction, operational performance, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and sustainable growth. This role will translate Board-approved objectives into clear business priorities, lead the development and execution of effective growth strategies, and ensure the Company’s operations, controls, and procedures support quality, compliance, profitability, and long-term success. Working closely with department heads and internal stakeholders, the Vice President will foster alignment, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization while identifying opportunities to strengthen performance, expand commercial channels, and position the Company for future growth.

Key Accountabilities

· Develop and execute the Company’s mission, vision, strategic plan, and growth priorities for Board review and approval.

· Lead enterprise-wide operational performance, ensuring activities, resources, and results are aligned with Company strategy, quality standards, and business objectives.

· Ensure organizational compliance with the Cannabis Act and Regulations, including timely responses to regulatory requests, audits, examinations, and emerging regulatory developments.





· Provide financial leadership through operating budgets, capital expenditure planning, business cases, financial reporting oversight, and performance analysis to support profitability and sustainable growth.

· Review financial and non-financial performance reporting to identify risks, opportunities, solutions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Lead commercial strategy by identifying new sales channels, strengthening customer and partner relationships, and assessing domestic and international market opportunities, including the United Kingdom, Australia, and Germany.

· Oversee production planning, inventory levels, forecasting, and corrective action to ensure operational plans support business objectives.

· Work cross-functionally with senior management, department heads, and internal stakeholders to align priorities, manage risk, improve efficiency, and drive key initiatives to completion.

· Build, lead, and develop a high-performing management team by setting clear expectations, supporting accountability, providing constructive feedback, and promoting professional development.

· Prepare timely materials, updates, and recommendations for the Board of Directors to support informed decision-making, governance responsibilities, and statutory obligations.

· Maintain current knowledge of cannabis markets, industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory requirements to inform strategy and decision-making.

· Perform other responsibilities as operationally required.

Experience and Education

· 3+ years of proven experience as a Vice President or in another senior management role with enterprise-level accountability.





· Demonstrated experience developing business strategy, translating vision into executable plans, and delivering profitable growth.

· Senior executive experience in manufacturing or consumer packaged goods is required; cannabis experience would be considered an asset but is not required.

· Strong understanding of corporate governance, financial stewardship, operational leadership, and general management best practices.

· Experience working across diverse business functions, including operations, quality assurance, finance, sales, and marketing.

· Entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational, leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.

· MBA, CPA, or other relevant advanced education or professional designation would be considered an asset.

Competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities)

· Demonstrates robust business and financial acumen, with the ability to understand operational performance, manage budgets, and align decisions with organizational objectives

· Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

· Solid understanding of facility operations and associated systems.

· Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage priorities, and communicate effectively with employees at all organizational levels.

· Exceptional organizational, planning, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements The Cannabis Act requires this position to undergo security/background checks, and the individual must be approved by Health Canada as suitable (able to obtain a Health Canada Security Clearance for the role of RPIC-Responsible Person In Charge).
