They are also responsible for monitoring and inspecting building monitoring systems and attending to service calls and emergencies. Shifts will be a mixture of mornings (6.30am-2:30pm) and evenings (2pm-10:00pm). Some Weekend availability is a must.Primary Job ResponsibilitiesDailyTest and inspect pump rooms/pumps, sprinkler room/sprinkler system, fountain room/fountains water testing/chemical level testingResponsible for operation/repair and day to day monitoring of the Centre’s HVAC equipment including boilers, cooling towers, chillers, pumps, motors, fans, vfds, and compressorsOperates and services building/plant (boilers, water softeners, chillers, HVAC,Automation systems, fire systems,



call systems, emergency power) within codePerforms daily boiler chemical tests, calculates impurities, adds chemicals as necessaryMaintains and repairs boilers (e.G., shutdown, boiler inspection, replace parts)Perform minor repairs and projects such as plumbing, electrical, drywall repairs, carpentry, painting, etc.Assist with Energy Management including scheduling equipment start/run times. DDC optimization, etc.Help ensure timely response/resolution/recommendation to all tenant requestsRun fire pump tests in the three residential towersRun building generator test – 2 hours minimum under loadCarry out preventative maintenance duties on all equipment listed above as well as other Building systems both interior and exterior with minimal supervision. This includes heat pumps, fans, sump systems, etc.MonthlyRun building generator tests for 4 systems which serve commercial and residential spacesPerform monthly preventative maintenance tasks as assigned through work order system (Angus)PeriodicParticipate in and promote company’s Sustainability Programs including LEED standards, BOMA Best etc.Respond as part of the EMT to any emergency situations and assist Fire Department/Security as required including shutting down equipment & utilitiesOther duties assigned by the Site Manager and/or Property Operations ManagerQualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesTeam player with positive work ethics and willingness to learnAbility to work with minimal supervisionRequired Training and ExperienceMinimum 6 -12 months of work experience as a 4th Class EngineerExperience with Heat PumpsAutomated work order system experienceExperience with DDC systems such as Automated Logic, Trane, Reliable, etc.Customer service experience is preferred as this position interacts with tenantsWorking ConditionsThis is a full-time position (40 hours) at The Amazing Brentwood located in Burnaby, BC.Hourly wage: $38.19/hour#J-18808-Ljbffr
