Make a difference as a Youth Support Worker at Eagle Heart Centre Inc. Provide stability and empowerment to at-risk youth through effective life skills programming and emotional support. In this role, you'll engage directly with vulnerable youth in a care home environment, employing trauma-informed strategies to facilitate growth and safety.
As a Youth Support Worker, your responsibilities will include crisis intervention and the delivery of culturally protected services. You'll report to the Team Lead, contributing to a mission that prioritizes mental health and the unique needs of Indigenous communities. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate life skills training and individual support
- Use de-escalation techniques during crises
- Implement culturally competent and trauma-informed services
- Communicate effectively with youth and staff
- Manage caseloads while adhering to deadlines Requirements:
- Education in a related field or equivalent experience
- Experience working with youth with developmental disabilities
- Strong communication and mentorship skills
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
