Vancouver is hiring a Youth Support Worker dedicated to helping youth aged 16-24 who are at risk of homelessness. This role in the Rights of Passage Program combines relationship-building with practical support to assist in life skills and employment preparation while navigating trauma. Your contributions are vital for fostering independence. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess youth needs and provide practical resources
- Develop trusting relationships with youth participants
- Facilitate goal-setting and action plans for success
- Address crises with trauma-informed practices
- Maintain accurate records of youth progress and incidents Requirements:
- Social service diploma/degree or related experience
- Minimum two years’ relevant work experience required
- First Aid and Crisis Intervention training is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and empathy
