Software Developer

Robert Half Canada is seeking a Software Developer on behalf of our client. This opportunity is suited to a technically skilled and collaborative skilled with experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions in a dynamic environment.

Position Summary

The Software Developer is responsible for building, enhancing, and supporting software applications that meet business and user needs. This role involves participating in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and system enhancements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following established development standards
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues
- Support integration efforts between applications, databases, and third-party systems
- Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and deployment processes
- Maintain technical documentation, release notes,



and support materials
- Assist with system upgrades, enhancements, and application support as needed
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives related to software development and delivery
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support project goals and timelines

Requirements:

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in software development, application support, or a related role
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar
- Experience with software development methodologies, version control, and testing practices
- Familiarity with databases, APIs, and system integrations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Post-secondary education in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is preferred
