Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our team and help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our insurance platform.

This role will focus on strengthening the quality of our insurance platform through thoughtful test planning, detailed test execution, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will help ensure that new features, business workflows, and user experiences are thoroughly validated before release.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies, is comfortable performing hands-on functional and user interface testing, and can translate business requirements into clear, effective test coverage.

In this role, you will develop and execute test plans, create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases, perform end-to-end business process testing, validate user experiences, and identify and track defects through resolution.

Location & Work Arrangement

Location: Montreal, Quebec

This position is based in our Montreal office and requires employees to work on-site five days per week.



We value in-person collaboration and believe it plays an important role in fostering teamwork, innovation, and effective communication.

For this role, English is the primary working language for all day-to-day communication, documentation, and collaboration. Proficiency in French is considered an asset and is welcome; however, it is not a requirement, as the core responsibilities of the position are conducted in English.

Responsibilities

- Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of web applications.
- Validate business workflows and user journeys across multiple insurance products and programs.
- Test and evaluate user interfaces to ensure a positive user experience and compliance with business requirements.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Analyze requirements and identify test coverage needs.
- Document, track, and validate defects through resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of automated testing frameworks and processes.
- Identify repetitive manual testing activities and recommend automation opportunities.
- Assist in establishing QA best practices, standards, and processes.
- Support future initiatives involving performance, load, and scalability testing.
- Produce clear and comprehensive test documentation and reports.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance and software testing.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.




- Strong experience with end-to-end business process testing and user acceptance validation.
- Experience testing web-based applications and user interfaces.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to document processes, defects, and test results clearly and effectively.
- Solid communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience implementing or contributing to a QA automation strategy.
- Familiarity with API testing tools and techniques.
- Experience working with SQL databases and validating data.
- Exposure to performance or load testing tools.
- Experience in the Insurance or Financial Services industry.
- Knowledge of Microsoft technology stacks and web applications.

Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
