Description
Stsweem'c get'tem is seeking motivated individuals to support forestry, conservation, and land stewardship activities. This position is ideal for those interested in environmental work, wildfire prevention, forestry, or natural resource management. Participants will gain valuable hands-on experience working outdoors in forest environments while supporting conservation and wildfire mitigation projects. Responsibilities Include: • Assisting with forest health surveys and field observations • Supporting wildfire prevention and fuel management activities • Helping with reforestation and tree-planting support tasks • Recording GPS points and assisting with basic mapping activities • Maintaining trails, signage,
and recreation areas • Following safety procedures in remote outdoor environments Skills & Experience Gained: • Forest ecology and environmental awareness • Wildfire prevention and fuel management practices • GPS, mapping, and field data collection skills • Teamwork, communication, and outdoor work readiness • Exposure to careers in forestry, conservation, wildfire services, and natural resource management This is an excellent chance to build practical outdoor skills, gain environmental field experience, and explore careers in land-based and conservation work.
