Since 1998, Safetech Scaffold has built a reputation as Vancouver's leading scaffold supply and service company. Our experience includes scaffolding for new construction, restoration, infrastructure improvements and high-profile commercial projects. We provide full-service access scaffold services including but not limited to; scaffold equipment, installation and dismantle, project planning and facilitation, and custom scaffold solutions. We also supply scaffolding equipment sales and rentals in Vancouver, the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island and across British Columbia.

Safetech is seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented accountant or someone working towards their credentials to assist with daily accounting and general office tasks. The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of accounting principles and be comfortable working independently. The role is well suited to someone with strong accounting knowledge who is also interested in a dynamic, at times rapid-paced environment assisting with other office responsibilities.

Job duties:

- Assist in managing customer invoicing
- Assist with customer service, both on the phone and in-person
- Monitor accounts receivables and customer account follow-up
- Manage accounts payables, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment processing.
- Perform inventory adjustments, reconciliations, and regular inventory reviews.
- Assist with managing rental billing, including partial shipments, returns, and equipment discrepancies.
- Assist with bank and credit card monthly reconciliations.
- Run payroll bi-weekly.
- Assist with improving accounting, inventory, and rental processes within the ERP system.




- Support month-end accounting and provide regular reporting to the management team.
- Able to work on-site due to its involvement with inventory, receiving, and operational functions.

Job requirements:

- Great communication and teamwork skills.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting, accounts receivables, and accounts payables
- Experience completing monthly bank and credit card account reconciliations.
- Hands-on experience processing payroll.
- Comfortable working with inventory and operational processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent telephone skills.

Job qualifications:

- Accounting diploma, degree, or equivalent experience – REQUIRED
- Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience – REQUIRED
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar program – REQUIRED
- Minimum 1 year payroll processing experience - REQUIRED
- Experience with the following is preferred and will set the ideal candidate apart: inventory accounting, inventory control, Power BI or similar reporting software, Rental billing or rental management software and ADP WorkForce now.

Pay: $36.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
