We are seeking a highly organized, analytical and results-driven Production Planner with strong planning, coordination and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our La Porte plant operations while working from our Brantford office location.

The position requires the ability to effectively manage production schedules, inventory requirements and material availability while collaborating with internal departments, suppliers and carriers to support operational objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules, ensuring the timely procurement and release of raw materials, and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of ERP data, Bills of Materials, Master Production Schedules, Material Requirements Planning parameters and inventory transactions. Through proactive monitoring of production and supply chain activities, the Production Planner identifies trends, schedule variances and potential disruptions, determines root causes of issues and implements corrective actions to improve operational performance. The role requires the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships, influence stakeholders, and successfully manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment driven by demanding deadlines and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Accountabilities:

- Develops and maintains integrated production schedules utilizing scheduling tools, SAP Master Production Schedules, and Materials Master parameters to support customer demand and operational efficiency.
- Collaborates with Operations leadership and the Global Supply Chain Manager to optimize production sequencing, run sizes, and plant utilization.
- Maintains schedule stability by ensuring a fixed seven-day production schedule and recommending adjustments to address changing business conditions or operational constraints.
- Establishes production targets and monitors actual performance against plan,



identifying variances and recommending corrective actions where required.
- Reviews internal and external customer complaints related to planning activities with the Global Supply Chain Manager, conducts root cause analysis, and supports the implementation of corrective measures.
- Maintains finished goods, semi-finished goods, and raw material inventory levels in alignment with established inventory targets and business requirements.
- Identifies opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency throughout the supply chain and planning processes.
- Maintains planning master data within SAP, including the creation and maintenance of material masters, part codes, planning parameters, bills of materials, and production versions.
- Releases process orders in a timely manner to support logistics, manufacturing, and customer delivery requirements.
- Develops raw material requirements plans using MRP outputs, sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production demands.
- Reviews raw material supply plans with Procurement to ensure inbound deliveries, container schedules, non-local material purchases, and off-specification resin purchases align with business needs.
- Executes raw material replenishment activities by reviewing MRP recommendations and releasing purchase orders to suppliers to support production schedules.
- Recommends approved material substitutions based on technical evaluations, product specifications, and customer requirements.
- Expedites supplier orders and resolves shipment, receiving,



and invoicing discrepancies to minimize disruptions to production and customer deliveries.
- Coordinates inbound transportation using preferred carriers and cost-effective transportation methods to ensure reliable material flow.
- Monitors supplier delivery performance and expedites materials as required to maintain production continuity and on-time customer service.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, and Technology, to support business objectives.
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with suppliers and transportation partners to ensure service, quality, and supply expectations are met.
- Investigates and follows up on supplier and carrier non-conformance issues, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

- University degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain management

Minimum Experience:

- 2-3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Experience with ERP / MRP systems

Other Qualifications an Asset

- Certification (CPIM, CSCP) by the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) or equivalent

Pay: $72,000.00-$94,000.00 per year
