True North Sports + Entertainment is looking for a dependable individual to join our team as a Front Desk Security Guard - Shark Club.

The Front Desk Security Guard plays a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of employees, patrons, guests, and the property at Shark Club Sports Bar & Grill.

Working as part of the True North Sports + Entertainment Security team, this position is responsible for overseeing security procedures for all patrons entering and within Shark Club, while providing a safe, welcoming, and engaging guest experience.

What to be excited for in this role:

- Oversee and enforce security procedures for all patrons entering and within Shark Club, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Check the validity of identification for patrons entering the property and ensure all applicable age and access requirements are followed.
- Provide proactive, safe, and outstanding service to all patrons, guests, employees, partners, and stakeholders.
- Uphold venue regulations and maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for everyone.
- Monitor and maintain order within and around the property, utilizing strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills when required.
- Protect Shark Club, its employees, patrons, and assets from theft, damage, and other security risks.
- Oversee access to the property and ensure established access procedures are followed.
- Conduct regular security rounds and maintain detailed, legible logs of rounds, incidents, and other security-related activities.
- Complete detailed incident reports and other documentation as required.
- Monitor security cameras, access control, and other security systems, programs, and equipment as applicable.
- Respond to disturbances, threats, alarms, emergencies,



and other security-related situations as necessary.
- Maintain awareness of activity throughout the property and proactively identify and address potential safety or security concerns.
- Assist with the safe and orderly movement of patrons within the property, including supporting crowd control when required.
- Provide assistance to patrons with coat check and other guest service needs as required.
- Work collaboratively with Shark Club staff, True North Sports + Entertainment team members, and other partners to support a safe and superior guest experience.
- Assist with emergency and safety procedures and ensure established protocols are followed.

What we need from you:

- Must be able to work a variety of shifts as required, including days, evenings, weekends, and overnights.
- Must provide a clean criminal record check as well as a child abuse registry check, less than 6 months old.
- Must possess a valid Manitoba Security Guard Licence.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the security industry.
- Experience in security at an entertainment, hospitality, or high-volume venue is considered an asset.
- Knowledge and experience with crowd control is considered an asset.
- Background in conflict resolution, de-escalation, problem solving, and guest experience.
- Familiarity with CCTV and security systems is considered an asset.
- Average or better computer skills,



including working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be in good physical condition to conduct a variety of physically challenging duties.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm, professional, and approachable in challenging or high-pressure situations.
