BUILDING MANAGER

Location: Vancouver, BC
Building: 73-unit residential high-rise

Position: Full-Time

We are looking for a reliable, responsible, and hands-on Building Manager to manage the day-to-day operation of our 73-unit residential building.

The ideal candidate is organized, friendly, professional, and takes pride in keeping the building clean, safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents.

Responsibilities

· Manage the day-to-day operation of the building.

· Provide excellent customer service and respond to resident inquiries and concerns.

· Collect rent and maintain basic rental and bookkeeping records.

· Handle move-ins, move-outs, suite showings, rental applications, and rent increases.

· Communicate with the Property Manager as required.

· Arrange and monitor contractors and building services.

· Perform regular building inspections.

· Keep common areas and exterior areas clean and well maintained.

· Perform minor repairs and general handyman work

· Report major repairs, safety concerns, and building deficiencies to the Property Manager.

· Respond appropriately to building emergencies and contact contractors or emergency services when required.

· Follow and enforce building rules and policies fairly and professionally.

· Maintain confidentiality of resident and company information.

· Work to protect the interests of the landlord while maintaining professional and respectful relationships with residents.

Qualifications

· 2–5 years of experience in building management, property management, maintenance, or a related field is preferred.

· Strong knowledge of the BC Residential Tenancy Act is essential.

· Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.





· Excellent customer service and people skills.

· Basic bookkeeping or administrative experience.

· Basic handyman and maintenance skills.

· High standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

· Strong organizational and planning skills.

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Positive attitude, reliable, self-motivated, and able to take initiative.

· Able to work independently and as part of a team.

· Professional appearance and manner.

· Able to maintain confidentiality.

· Physically capable of performing duties such as cleaning, painting, bending, kneeling, shoveling, pushing, and pulling.

Additional Requirements

· Criminal record check required.

· RMTI certification is an asset but not required.

· Previous high-rise residential building experience is an asset.
