PatchBoyz is growing—and we're looking for someone to take ownership of our field operations.

We're a specialized construction company focused on drywall repair, stipple ceiling removal, asbestos and mould remediation. With 3 partners and 6 field technicians, we've reached the point where we need a dedicated Operations Manager to keep our technicians organized, our customers happy, and our jobs running smoothly.

This isn't a position where you'll sit on the sidelines. You'll have real authority and responsibility for the people and systems that keep the company running—from hiring and training technicians to dispatching crews, solving problems and improving how we operate.

What You'll Own

People

- Recruit, interview, hire and onboard technicians
- Train, coach and hold field staff accountable
- Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary conversations when necessary
- Help build a dependable, high-performing field team

Daily Operations

- Coordinate and dispatch technicians to jobs
- Stay in communication with technicians throughout the day
- Troubleshoot scheduling, scope and job-site issues
- Make sure crews have the materials and information they need to succeed

Customers & Jobs

- Coordinate change orders and scope changes with customers
- Follow up after jobs to ensure customer satisfaction




- Step in when problems arise and bring them to resolution
- Answer incoming calls when the salesperson is unavailable

Materials & Administration

- Maintain inventory and coordinate purchasing
- Distribute materials and supplies to technicians
- Ensure receipts and job documentation are properly tracked
- Help improve the systems and procedures behind our operation

What You Need to Succeed

Must-Haves:

- Good with people – A desire to be of service and help
- 5+ years experience in managing trades/construction/restoration company
- 2+ years of drywall experience
- 1+ years of asbestos and mould experience

· Proven experience managing field employees

· Excellent people and conflict-resolution skills

- Valid G-class driver’s license + personal vehicle
- Comfortable using your cellphone for work
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Easily learn new software platforms (service fusion)
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Fast and accurate typing skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Fluent in English (French is a bonus)
- Must be able to lift 60 lbs

You'll Move to the Top of Our List If You Have:

- Experience managing 6+ technicians in the field
- Experience with service fusion or service titan
- Ability to sell
- Conflict resolution
- Experience conducting employee performance reviews
- Experience managing subcontractors
- First Aid

Compensation

- Hourly: $34–$37/hour ($70,000 to $77,000 per year)

Schedule: Monday–Friday,



7:30AM – 3:30PM (Tuesdays until 5:30)
Location: Ottawa
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Work workplace: Nepean Home-office + occasional field/site visits
