Attention! Blackbird Security is hosting a walk-In Hiring Career Fair on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 in our Head Office located at 191 The West Mall, Etobicoke, Suite 1010, on the 10th Floor from 9:00 to 6:00 pm EST.

*Be Prepared for an in-Person Interview for a duration of 15-20 min.

Fair Information:

Time: From 9:00 am to 6:00 pm EST (We will only accept walk0ins during these hours) **

What to Bring and Come Prepared with: **If you do not come prepared with this you will not be seen or considered.

1) A Copy of your Valid Ontario Security Guard License

2) A Copy of your Valid Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C (WSIB Approved)

3) A Copy of your Use of Force Certification * If you possess one.

4) A Copy of Your Updated Resume with Contact information

5) Proof of Eligibility to Work Legally in Canada.

Position Details:

Wage:$18.50 to $23.00 / Hr **

Work Location: Various - GTA - Flexibility required to travel to various site locations around GTA.

Schedule/ Shift: Varies - Flexibility Required. Primarily DAY SHIFTS ONLY**

- Can be scheduled anytime beween Monday to Sunday for 6-12 hour shifts - depending on site and company and client needs. Flexibility is required**

Role Summary

As a Tactical Security Guard you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of a company's employees, visitors, and associated property. You will be tasked with patrolling a designated area, responding to safety and security threats, and establishing a security presence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* (Will Vary Based on Type of Positons and Site Location and will cinsist of but will not be limited to):

- Maintaining safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel
- Patrol designated areas in accordance with outlined security procedures
- Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
- Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly
- Ability to stand or foot patrol for 8 hours
- Ability to escort trespassers away from client premises
- Defuse potentially volatile situations and intervene when necessary




- Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy
- Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed
- Providing great customer service to clients, tenants, and patrons
- Identify, monitor and approach subjects who may have unpaid merchandise
- Document theft and other security violations
- Ability to respond well to emergency situations
- Ability to work without close supervision

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

- Valid Ontario Security License
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certification (WSIB Approved)
- Use of Force Certification is considered an Asset**
- Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifters preferred
- Knowledge of all 5 steps to an arrest/detainment of a shoplifter
- Must be willing and comfortable to stop theft
- Must be willing to stand for 8 hours
- Valid Driver's license and own vehicle is an asset
- Previous experience in security is an asset.
- Must be proficient in the English language, spoken, written, and via electronics
- Superior observational skills
- Willingness to attend meeting and trainings to improve skills
- Knowledgeable on safety processes and procedures
